...You would clean the algae from your tank(s) rather than wash dishes
...You would start changing the water in your tank(s) rather than fold laundry
...In short, you would prefer maintaining all aspects of the tank rather than housework!
I call it fish fever lol :joke:

i def would rather do a water change then do my laundry and other stupid stuff. i find working on my tanks to be pretty calming, it gives me a sense of accomplishment keeping all my fish healthy, presentable, and happy.

I would rather do just about anything than work on my tank. I want to enjoy the tank, not work on it.
I am battling algae.
and the canopy.

My girlfriend made me wash the pots before I cleaned the tank the other night, it was awful! By the time I had ate tea, washed pots and then looked after my tank it was 10:30!!!:mad2: . I relaxed on the couch thinking the days hard toil was over.......she then asked me to put kettle on!

If you look closely at the top of my head you can actually see thumb prints!

LOL..stupid stuff..but if you don't do the 'stupid stuff' you won't be healthy, persentable or happy...or..maybe you will but your friends might not be :joke: ;)

doing maintenance on the tanks may be more 'fun' but doing al the other stuff is a necessary evil.

just think of doing the maintenance on your house in the same perspective as doing the maintenance on your tanks..let either one slide and you're out of balance.:)

I'd totally rather work on my tanks/other animals than do the bad housework stuff...but since I have 2 large dogs and 4 cats...making my animals happy and healthly in a clean environment also includes vacuuming, dusting, washing puppy/kitty/reptile dishes, cleaning the litter box, baking puppy cookies (found a great recipe the other day, the dogs love 'em. But then again, they love dust bunnies and clumps of grass too  ), and then washing my clothes to get rid of all the hair....man, my house is a zoo...

I enjoy viewing my fish the most in a clean, well cared for aquarium. What do I have to watch in my house that is quite as exciting and relaxing? Not the laundry, not the walls, not the furniture, not the dishes. Those things can wait. Fish can't wait. They need to be healthy. There is nothing, IMO, more disgusting than a tankful of sick, lethargic fish. My tanks are the focal point of my home and I proudly show them off to all who enter. I don't care if the visitors don't like an unvacuumed carpet, but I do care if they notice the unvacuumed gravel.

I am with you all the way lavaleggz!!!

rather than fold laundry

Fold Laundry?

Hang the shirts (button shirts, not the t-shirts) up hot from the dryer; rest gets tossed in the dresser.

Life is too short to fold laundry!

(any clues why I'm still single?)

:)
