Power heads

First I have to say that I am completely grateful for the amount of help and advice I have received from this forum just from reading other peoples posts! You guys are great.

I currently have a 30 gallon tank that has been set up for just under two months. I have two internal filters that I am using just for water flow, but I am switching them out with power heads.

I am having a hard time deciding what size Maxi-jets to get. I read a few posts where people thought that the 900 was too strong for a 30 gallon tank. Would two 400's be better, and would that provide enough flow? My tank will be FOWLR.

These are my current residence:

5 Red leg hermits
5 Nassarius snails
2 Turbo snails
1 Coral banded shrimp

There are a few more types of snails/shrimp I would like to add, but I haven't had the best of luck finding them in my area. I think I will have to start ordering online.

I only have 20lbs live rock so far, and 10 lbs of base rock. I wanted to leave room to add cool pieces when I see them. I also have 30 lbs of live sand.

Thanks for the info on the snails. I am kind of limited on what is available here, (which is very suprising!) so that is why I went with them. I was mainly looking for something to stir up up the sand. The snails are bigger than most of the hermits, so I am not sure how many will last when the hermits decide they need to move. I will remove the snails if they start being distructive, or if I get a sick fish.
