It's funny how the simple, uncomplicated things can look so aesthetically pleasing.

toss in a couple snails. get smaller rocks so you have more room for plants.

I agree with the smaller rocks idea. That's a really neat idea for the tank though, good job!

about getting driftwood.... drive around one day in your city in some residential housing areas before the "bush truck" comes to clean up all the cut up shrubery **** that people leave at the rodeside. If you see a stick/branch you like, break it off and take it home. Then once home, fill up a pot of hot water, bring to boil, and dunk your stick in there (give it a good scrub with a clean pot cleaner first though). Just let the stick boil in there for a long time. Im talking like 4-5 hours. Then drain the water out of the pot. Refill and repeat, this time for an hour or two. keep doing this till the water runs clear. (at this point you should be able to easily peel the bark off.) Then take your stick and stick it in a cup/bucket for a day or two off to the side. after that test your sticks water params. if they are good, then you are good to go and have effectivly made driftwood. the boiling does what the stream does in a week or so in just a handfull of hours.
