TMC V2 SKIM 400 / RIO PUMP

I`ve just bought a tmc v2 skim 400 that has a rio pump with it after a brife read over the pages i noticed that people have BAD VIBES on rio pumps
has anyone got running a v2 skim 400 600 800 etc with a rio pump whats your ex with this product surely if rio is that bad TMC would not use these pump with there skimmers etc plus v2`s sell like crazy sooooooooo???

please help
 
Personally, i have heard nothing buy good about them...That is just my opinion of course...I know some people have had experiences though..am sure if, further along the line, you do have a problem, you can swap the Rio for an Eheim or Ocean Runner

I would swap the pump. When (not if) the rio goes bad the oil in the motor houseing will reek havok on your tank. VERY NASTY STUFF!!! Might last 6 months might last 6 years but it will go bad and it will leak oil in your tank.
