Goldfish and live plants?

Is it possible to have a planted goldfish tank? Or will the goldfish eat all of the plants?

i have my pond fish in for the winter and put some plants in there . if you feed them the greens besides the plants they will leave them alone but when they geat a hankering for greens and there isn't any they will tear apart your plants weather they eat them or not.. they love to tear apart plants.. hope this helps..

Goldfish will eat most plants placed in the tank, however, they will not touch Java Ferns. Might want to give that a go, and the plant grows anywhere.

any plant with broad, tough leaves, such as java fern, anubias, and amazon swords can be kept with them.
