I did a ph test but the color never changed it stayed the same so i am not sure what it is I use the api master kit. Can some who is useing this test tell me what it is. And is there a better test to use?

is the api master kit liquid or test strip..if its test strip they are never accurate they always show the same thats why i got a digital ph monitor and only use liquid test kits
i use the same test kit...when doing a pH test, it should starting turning purple'ish after a couple of drops untill you reach the correct ammount on the bottle.....

what happens with the pH test when you do it on the pre-mixed salt water before it goes into the tank?

oh yes, thats right, i remember now...You dont have a local fish shop near you either do you if i remember rightly? Nobody else who can test for you? could just be a faulty test kit....
