And actually another emporer 400 on my 29 gallon. They say that 1 of those is enough for a 55, but 2 really work well. Online, the filter inserts are 4 for $9, filled with carbon, and they have the biowheels and what not. Just good filters, which i've yet to have problems with. And I don't even think they're very expensive, quite honestly.

Also, as a PSS- you might not need 2 Emporers for your tank, depending on the inhabitants. I used my tank for oscars and other big messy eaters, so the extra filtration was nice.
