Hi hope you don't mind me asking another question.

I have a few fish which i would like to take out of my tank.
Being a newbie to all this i went and bought some fish in which i did'nt realise at the time are not suitable for my tank.

For instance Clown loach. My tank is heavily stocked with plants, some real some fake.

My question is to be able to catch these fish i will have to remove some of the plants and rocks to be able to catch them.

Will this upset the cycling of the tank?and what about the substrate will this be ok when it gets disturbed?.

Look forward to your help.

One last thing the fish are going into a bigger tank at a friends who has a well established tank.

It shouldn't disturb the cycle much, if any. What kind of substrate? You may get some floating around if you have a sand base, which could cause problems for your filters.

Disturbing the rocks, substrate and plants won't cause any problems. Live plants will also survive being moved around.

If you have 2 nets I would use one net to coax the fish into the second net, it's a lot easier that way.

As long as you acclimitise the fish to your friends tank they will be fine.

Thank you very much for your replies.
Will move the fish later this afternoon.
