due to a bad water change ..... no drops ...please don't flame me for it......

i have 2 jack dempseys male 7 inch female 5 inch.
i changed wated and took a nap 40 % change.

when i awoke my male was on his side looking like a boomerang and the female was motionless except for breathing.

i couldn't do a water change again for 2 days it was easter all stores closed(to get drops)

my big guy has started to pull thru but seems like his back half is paralized , back fins look folded over . (female is fine)

he seems to push himself arround the tank with his front fins .
he was improving slowly frrom half dead with head heavy sporatic swimming to moving arround the tank now.

Has this happened to anyone.. will he improve.....how can i help!!!

i went and blew some cash on some new pumps and upped the oxygen level in the tank . tank is at 82.....
I love this fish ...... the guilt is killing me......

What can i do ..... did he have a stroke ...... ahhh!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what to tell you about your fish, but I hope he gets better.

This is too late, but FYI: If you have chlorine in you local water you can let it sit for awhile (1-2 days???) and the clorine will "evaporate". I'm sure someone here must know how long it takes for chlorine to dissipate from still water. However if your water is treated with chloramine you do need to treat the water first.
