I used to feed them once or twice a day, and they would get Omega One flakes and shrimp pellets. I thought maybe that was enough because they were growing, but now they beg constantly! I knew I shouldn't have given in. . . the other day they got flakes four times. . . and still wanted more. They're like starving puppies. I can see their little bellies get round after a couple feedings, but how much is too much? They prefer flake to pellets, and the tetras like it too. Even later in the day they still hit the flake hard enough to cause popping noises when they come out of the water.

angels are some of the greediest fish i have ever had (with mollies being the MOST). mine will eat and eat and eat until she looks like she is going to explode, and then 30 minutes later she wants MORE food!

My angel does the same thing - he is fat.

I normally feed all my fishies when I close down my shop at 7; at 7:05, the Angels are all waiting at the top of the tank by the flap waiting for their flakes.

They (and the rest of the fish in the tank) eat, but still they are there waiting...

young angels can be fed 3-4 X per day as they get older 1-2 X per day..I feed mine 2 X with small feedings.

angels are pigs which is a good thing..cause when they stop eating you know something is up

I have 5 little angels about the size of a quarter or less and they have everyone in the house feeling sorry for them because they are always begging for food whenever anyone walks by the tank. I must get asked 10 times a day if I fed the angels because "they are at the top of the tank and acting really hungry". I feed them Omega One flakes, mysis shrimp, bloodworms, brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, and spirulina occasionally. I feed them twice a day, something different each time, but I have a feeling that the other people in my house are feeding them behind my back cuz they "look and act" hungry. No one ever says anything about feeding my other fish, just the "poor" angels.

Angels are indeed pigs. If they had their way they'd be fed every ten minutes!! In fact my husband (who knows nothing about fish ;)) insists that I am starving them to death and is always telling me how hungry they are lol! Stick to 1-2x a day and they should be fine whether they beg or not.
