anybody know a good way to feed a pleco espcially a busynose one. besides the algae wafers that seem never to get eaten??

mine are going crazy over zucchini.

boil it so it sinks. also you can try potatoes.

Both my common and clown pleco love Tetra's variety wafers. I throw 6-8 in just after the lights go out, and they don't leave any behind.

I take and cut zuccini in half and boil it. Most of the time it still wont float so i have to zip tie it to a old rio power filter mount that i bury under the substrate.

My pleco immediately goes for a few nibbles and within the hour he goes to town hollowing it out.

The first time i fed it to him i cut some slits and put wafer sticking out of the top so he would notice it.

I try to feed then that once a week to suppliment the wafers

Mine like spinach also.

Mine in addition also likes peas and carrots, I have also heard about yams, I keep forgetting to buy one to try it.

i think I am going to have to try to feed my pleco some zucchini..I have never tried feeding it that.
