I am going to be away for 2 weeks, I have an automatic fish feeder, and will have somebody come every 3 days to make sure the fish are not dead, refil whatever water has been evaporated and so on, I was going to keep the lamp next to my tank on for the whole time and since it is relativively light in the room they are in during the day should i worry about the lights, or should i get a timer for them? Any ideas/suggestions.

No major live plants...? Room lithing will be fine. If you have someone coming over every three days, leave them pre-measured packets of food, one for each visit. Then you will not have to mess with the auto feeder.
