I'm now the proud papa of a beautiful pair of red/turqoise discus. :) In any case, I keep my tank at about 83 degrees and I've noticed that my plants don't pearl nearly as much as they once did. Nothing has changed except the temperature and 50% RO/50% tap where I used to use 100% tap.

I do 50% water change a week. Ferts per Tom Barr method. Compressed c02,
KH 3
ph 6.4 - 6.6
p04 3.0 mg/l
n03 12 ppm
2 65 watt CF over 55 gallon.
Loads of plants in there...

Does temp have anything to do with c02 carrying capacity?
thanks!

Dissolved Gasses

Short Answer: Yup

Short Explanation: The cooler the water the more dissolved gas it can hold and vise versa. This applies to O2 as well as CO2. (ie warmer water will need more oxygenation activities) Think warm soda. :p
