I'm planning down the road for my new tank and I need a solution to keep the tank running smoothly for vacations of up to 1-2 weeks. Preferrably something that doesn't involve me suckering a friend into stopping by constantly to care for the fish. I have an 80 gallon tank and have only stocked some cleaning crew so far but plan on having a pretty typical reef setup.
I'll plan on doing a water change before and after a vacation and lighting is all on timers. Does anyone have recommendations on particular automatic feeders that work well for you? I not looking for a feeder for day to day use, but only somewhat rare occasions when I'm traveling. Also, I'll probably feed mostly frozen food such as mysis normally but when I'm out of town would it be ok to switch to pellet food for an automatic feeder? I'm looking for a feeder solution that could handle periods up to 2 weeks.
