What I've been up to.

I now have two tanks. The large 25G community tank, and the 6G for the Betta.
Yeah, he's a spoiled brat.
A month or so ago, I was lectured on the importance of water hardness. BC water is filtered so that it has NO hardness. Which sucks for the imported fish, because they have all been raised in a hardness of 7.
So! I fixed the hardness and added some salt for the guppies.
In a week I had twenty odd fries in my tank. What's even funnier is that NONE of the pregnant guppy females look responsible.
My evil plan had come to fruition. I had my feeder tank.
I must establish right now, that from the beginning, the guppies were food: lively, pretty, brainless, protein.
Now my dilemma is to find the right kind of predator for the tank.
One that will be happy to eat the fries and not nibble on the feelers of the snail or the glass catfish.
Dwarf frogs seem to be the best bet.
Angel fish seem to be a risk, but still possible.
The betta doesn't seem interested in eating them. He's already well fed on pellets.
So far the fries seem to get eaten without any help from me. However, that was when the birthing was maybe 12 or so strong and from one female. Two of those second generation fries have grown into strong pregnant females and I'm looking at now four well impregnated cows.
I need to find a pred and soon!
Edit: I just realized that the one large glasscat probably eats the fries. Which just means I should find him tank mates! The poor guy has been all alone since the others died off from stress (I moved twice in a year).
