Thank you for the advice. I've decided to hold off on the loaches until I purchase a larger aquarium, my pleco is now over 7 inches long and quickly outgrowing his tank. I hadn't measured him in a couple months. The snail was a hitchhiker on some new plants but I've been able to keep up with the snail population for the most part. There are only two baby snails left in the aquarium now and the adult has passed on after leaving it's shell for some reason. I'm not sure why the snail left it's shell but the water tests fine and the two remaining snails are healthy.
Can my tank support loaches?
