My L128 blue phantom does this.... dunno if its a male or female-- too small to know

but none of my other plecos do it at all (commons, chocolates, blue panaques, and zebras) have ever done it

(no longer have the zebras BTW.. just throwing that in for comparison)

At least you see your clown pleco!
My clown pleco has many hideouts in a 55 gal. tank, especially around the rockwork and behind driftwood.
These are very nice fish; I have been observing mine for over 12 years now, which places this species in the long-lived category for sure.
you have a 12 year old clown??

how big is it?

Compatible?

My clown plec doesn't do that either but my BN & scribble do. Maybe it's a "guy thing", I think both of my tail waggers are male, no idea about the clown.

Hey! I currently have a Bristlenose Female and a rubberlip pleco in my tank. I am also investing in a Scribble Pleco. Are these guys compatible? Or will have I need to move at least one of them? I'm super excited to get the scribble so I wanna make sure I'm not putting it in a unfair situation.
