My Senegal bichir has been swimming at the top of the tank lately. I haven't seen him go to the bottom since Wednesday. On Wednesday I did two things though
1.I feed pieces of worms
2.I added a delhezi bichir.
Any ideas on why he's doing this?

From my experience it's common for them to surface occasionally because they actually breathe. I know for sure that they can bloat from overeating. Have you done a water change lately?

I have a Senegal as well and he does like to stay near the heater at the top of the tank. It shouldn't be any kind of issue as long as water quality is maintained though, it seems like he only dos that when hes hungry.
