I been wondoring what type my angelfish are. One is a veil and the other isn't which I neaver seen before. Would someone tell me what types my angels are? They both have red eyes and nearly the same color patterns.

i believe this falls in the 'half black' category

keep in mind they call half black zebras as an example..which is half zebra on the black half..

it is still P. Scalare just one of the half black morphs

    ;)

Color morphs are sorta tricky I think, for instance it looks to me like there is some lace in that second one. They are pretty and the second pic looks as though there may be some breeding going on.

I didn't know that really. I had the one in the first picture for about 2 yrs now and I only knew it was a veil.

The second one looks like a leopard variety. The first looks like a halfblack with the gold on top.

I think they both look like a half black. There were some very similar on aquabid not along ago. They called them smokey half-blacks. Who knows? Pretty fish though.

But they are different finnage types to. A veil and I don't know what the other is.

The finnage doesn't matter as to type. Each "variety" of angel can have both veil and regular fins. You can have both even from the same spawn. So for example, you can have a double dark veil, double dark super veil or double dark regular. The finnage doesn't play into what kind it is.
