Rescued catfish

Hi been out for a long while. Just rescued a catfish from third #1 grandson. Only trouble is I don`t know what type it is. It has two green? dots just behind its front fins. Has a sorta red tail. It had been kept in deplorable conditions. Trying to get a picture if it will ever hold still.

Sure wish it would quit hiding. Every time I get close it goes behind the drain

Catch it and put into a breeder, then take pics.

Wow good idea. The tank is a 40gal breeder but I think you mean a small one.

I think it could be a synodontis eupterus, they are pretty common fish, though I could be dead wrong without a pic. Did it look like this?http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=830+1163+1594&pcatid=1594 Or somewhat like it?

Looks like a Horabagrus brachysoma. They will grow big, about 15-20inches.
