Dwarf gourami with infection

My dwarf gourami has had a strange bump on his head and has been getting worse for the past week. Ammonia is .25 ppm and nitrite and nitrate are <5 ppm ph is about 7.8. Temp is 77f. 20 gallon community tank with 2 zebra danio, 3 tiger barbs, 7 neon tetras, 3-5 guppys(less than a inch) 1 rubber nose pleco, 1 angelfish, and 2 zebra snails. I have a 5g Quarantine I can set up.

Nice pictures, but cannot tell. Does not look like an injury. If it is a growth, there maybe nothing you can do.

But-------How long has your tank been set up? You should not be measuring any Ammonia and Nitrites. Should be ZERO in a cycled tank.

About a year, the toxin levels are steady I may have overstocked it

Do some extra water changes to keep the water as clean as possible. Nitrites <5ppm is rather vague but ANY ammonia and nitrites is a bad thing for any circumstance. That's all I got, sorry. Might want to reduce your stocking levels a bit. Water quality is your first line of defense against SO many things. Perhaps even improve your bio-media so it can handle the extra wastes better.

I will try to get a better tank light (60watt) this weekend and I will dose with prime. Should I qt him though?
