So, their body color changes depending on the type of food? That's cool. They've eaten a ton of diatoms (especially those 20 guys that I bought from you). Now that diatoms are all gone, I feed them with Hikari Shrimp cuisine. No wonder some of them have gotten brown.

A new Purigen Bag doesn't kill the fish. Peppered cories are tough guys and something must have happened. Did you accidentally overdoes Potassium? If not, the new fish probably introduced a disease. One week QT done by your LFS is too short.
