The one thing you gotta think about is the eel and the lionfish are carnivorous. That usually means more tank care and cleanup. Also I know a lot of ppl can't get their lionfish to accept anything but live food, maybe frozen if ur lucky. That's a lot of ghost shrimp and at $2 a piece that's not...
Volitan lionfish are beautiful creatures although I wanna say a 75 is too small. They get over a foot long but who knows he may be ok. I personally like the antenna lionfish I think they look awesome and still get big with smaller tank requirements
The russels lionfish is very aggressive...

A 100 is a very nice tank I will admit. As for substrate.... I have very fine aragonite sand and it keeps ph steady at 8.3 although if a powerhead or any critter stirs up the substrate, oh god it's a sand storm in my tank. But once you get te power heads where they need to be then it's not a...
Yea, it's been growing for a while. I'm about to do a 20% change tomoro once my RO system pumps out more water. I actually only have that one piece of live rock right now I'm adding 40 lbs of dry rock to seed I just wante to get my tank established first. Idk if that makes a difference when...
Well if you want to cut costs you can seed dry rock with a piece of live rock... As for money I would say do chores for ur parents, basically strike a deal or something

RO/DI is a very good investment!! Costly yes but so is everything about SW. I'm not trying to shoo you away from SW, it's just very very pricey. I'm buying 40 more lbs of live rock and that will cost me around $150 if I can get a good deal

So I'm looking to get a butterfly fish... I have read they love amphipods and will devour them. I have a spare 10 gallon tank and I wanted some advice on how to start or if it's even a good idea.. I would buy a starter kit from ipsf.com

Yes I would be very worried, like everyone says the tank plus everything weighs a lot and all that stress on a stand.... You don't want it to break and your tank go down with it.
