Depending on the fabric, it's not a stain per say. What you're looking at is the minerals left behind when the water evaporates. On most fabrics it isn't noticable, but on couches with microfiber, faux leather, swede (etc etc) it's going to show.. Use a damp cloth (use distilled water) and...

All depends, I'd go bigger (hehe).. If you want one of the premade ones i'd go with the one thats on sale.. As long as they both have similar lighting and stats. then it's pretty much up to personal taste :)
