Thanks, but I'm trying to return the pale pink coloured fish that were sold to me as yellow labs. I'm currently being assured they will 'colour up'. Note the three that I have that are actually yellow were from a more reputable source. I should have known better.
I sent this in response.
Hello,
My name is Corinne MacLeod and I am writing you as a concerned citizen. I visited your Thunder Bay location in the Intercity mall on Wednesday, July 6. I was surprised to see African Dwarf frogs for sale in containers that hold about 500ml or 2 cups of water...
Hello all,
I haven't posted in sometime. I was recently at the mall here in Thunder Bay Ontario, and I saw a sickening display in the Green Earth store. They had up to three african dwarf frogs in tiny containers with maybe two cups of water in them. I asked to speak to a manager and she was...
Here is northwestern ontario... north shore of lake superior. About 7 hours north and a little bit east of minneapolis if that gives you a better idea.
I would guess the person you bought them from just bought them at the lfs at best. They probably aren't exceptional breeding stock. I don't think breeding them would really be a money making venture if that's what you're looking at doing.
I totally do not have any friends who have fish. So that makes giving them away difficult. As far as I know there is no aquarium club or anything around here either. :(
I don't know that I really want more lemons, or more tetras at all really. I generally would like to stick to just south american(ish) fish if I stick with the ones I already have and don't totally change it, so that kinda leaves the gourami's out. And other than angels again, I don't really...
Hello all!
Looking for some ideas here. I have a 65g flatback hex that has 5 bleeding heart tetras, 10 columbian tetras, 2 extremely ancient lemon tetras (5+years) 1 sterbai cory and... that's it. I used to have a couple angel fish, but over the last year, they've both passed away (old age ~8...
Hey all,
Thought you might be pleased to see this. I know often not much happens even when charged with animal cruelty, but at least charges were laid!!

I know you said the "Shelter" doesn't want them. It seems like you've contacted a humane society or something to that effect. Most places like that won't take strays(as you've noticed) You really should look into animal control though. Most cities have an animal control - there is sometimes a...
That's terrible! What an awful thing to come home to. I know some people have experienced dramatic losses like this due to things like heater malfunction and contaminants getting into the tank(insecticides and things like this). If you had a rotting body in there undetected, it could have...
