    Big FW Tank -

Yes, I have the hair that gets in the way too. I’ve worried about the deodorant too but I usually wash it off before I work on my tank. However, I find with the Ottos in there as well as the plecos, I’m not really needing to clean the glass at all. I don’t do much with my tank I figure if I had...

    Big FW Tank -

No, I did not get the tank but now I am intrigued. Ohio fish rescue is not something I've heard of. It would be nice to get a big tank without a huge pricetag.

    Big FW Tank -

Snorkeling might be fun! LOL! You crack me up. I already have a 180 gallon set up for about 20 years. I know the extreme fun of getting wet armpits while I try to move things around. Behind my tank, I have a full length of the tank stand about 12" off the ground that I can walk on and reach...

    Big FW Tank -

These answers help a lot. I’m so accustomed to only using canister filters and have zero experience with the sump system, it looks difficult to understand and learn. But it’s starting to make sense.

    Big FW Tank -

Personally, I’d like a fully planted tank with fish 6” long or less. I love small fish.

    Big FW Tank -

Hey all. Been a while since I posted but never forgot how helpful everyone is. I just saw an ad for a 500 gallon FW tank for sale and it had so many external gadgets that it needed a separate (behind the tank) room for it. Makes me kind of wonder... At tank size point do you need to to get...

    Duckweed....Need help

Tri-color sharks, who are related to goldfish, also eat duckweed. I cannot keep duckweed for long with them.

    A baby!!!

Based on my own experience, it would probably be the Diamond Tetra. The fry are excellent at hiding.

What size tank is that in gallons? Are you planning on having live plants b/c the silver dollars will eat them. Congo Tetras would do well and they are good size. I also really like the tri-colored sharks. They get to a good size yet are gentle.

Big Tank for Tiny Fish, would you?

Here is a link to my 180G. Largest fish would be the Red-tailed black shark, siamese algae eater and rainbows. I much prefer small fish as you can have so many more and all different varieties. http://s192.photobucket.com/albums/z284/swancrane/?action=view&current=100_2369.flv

    Hidden Dangers of Fish Food?

Hey Jinksy!! I am really not concerned about the wormys being in the tank. I think they just eventually drown and the shrimp take care of them then. The fact that they are there just made me think that it probably is not a good idea to eat fish food (accidentally of course). And with around...

    Hidden Dangers of Fish Food?

Hey all! I don't want to scare you or anything, just want you to be aware. Always wash your hands after handling fish food and take care not to allow your pets or kids to accidentally ingest. I have a 37 gallon tank that is full of Red Cherry Shrimp. I feed them algae wafers, flake food...

    Unhappy Silver Dollars

Angels are very smart. They really like to watch you and are aware of your presence. My angels always come to the front of the tank to greet me (or perhaps ask when I am going to bust them out of their prison cell).

    Unhappy Silver Dollars

Silver Dollars - ahh, have not kept those wonderful, exciting fish for many years. How they love to eat live plants - yum yum. Anyhow, you said you moved the fish. I am assuming they are in the same tank size. This may be a stretch but I want to say that barring any illness, there may be an...
