Update on Angels Added more plants and finally got a background put up. They were pretty reclusive for the first couple of days, now they seem much happier with the set up. Thier colors are more distinct and I get to see them more.

It doesn't look like there are any more missing. For some reason, they seem to look a little better today? Maybe it's just my imagination though.

:scratch: Nope, no white slim. Tried to find my extra thermometer, however, it seems to have grown legs. Will try to get a temp on it tomorrow. Sorry I'm so disorganized with my info. They are still eating like horses though. The larger one seems to be worst than the smaller...

I found that just rubbing it under plain, warm tap water worked alright and my plants had been brown for quite a while.

Hmmm, I haven't been using different water. I don't have a pH tester, so I cannot tell you what it is. It has been a little warmer in the house lately, but I didn't think that it was that much. I noticed that my heated tank has been a little higher lately, however, the goldfish have survived...

My goldfish seem to be losing their scales. Is this normal? They seem quite healthy otherwise. If not, is there anything I can do to help them out?

I've had this tank up and running in it's present location for about 3 months. Before I moved, it had been up for a couple of years. When I moved, I took as much of the original tank water as I could.

Right now I am using Cycle and AquaSafe at every water change. Could anyone tell me if these products are good or is there something better that I should be using. These were recommended by the pet store I bought the fish at and now, by reading alot of the posts here, it seems that they aren't...

Worst fish: haven't had one yet. Worst product: hanging heater I got with first tank. Thing never worked right, could never keep a constant temperature. Worst food: once had a sandwich at the Saddledome (in Calgary)...was sick for three days.

I was just wondering if it was normal for a silver angel's stripes to fade during the day. If I go into the kitchen at night, though, they seem to be more noticable. Also, I just started feeding them frozen brine shrimp and when they eat that, the stripes are more noticable then too. Just...

daveedka You said that you usually use two filters, would it be worthwhile to keep the AquaClear filter in my 10 gallon as well as using a RFUG? I was thinking of taking the AquaClear out and only using the RFUG, but I'll keep it in if it would help. BTW, I am presently keeping two angles...

I had a Betta that lived with two feeder(?) goldfish. The goldfish were afraid of the Betta for a while, but once they decided that they were bigger than him, they all got along fine.:)
