Well to add to it, all of the water parameters are perfect. So I am extremely happy. And I know that it doesn't mean that it is an assurance that the tank has cycled. Except that I know that livebearers will kill themselves and their fry if they feel that the water params are not adequate. Been...
I recently set-up my 20 gallon tank after my move. I had it torn down for almost a year before I decided to start again. I went through the cycling process and all and decided to pick up some fish. My boyfriend picked out some fish "for him." He decided on black mollies. Already having a female...
That was friggin fantastic...I was planning on doing something like that for the reception. Having my first dance be a spicy salsa. It probably kept all of the kids a lot more attentive too.
Your tetra looks like a Congo tetra to me from the picture. Either that or a Buenos Aires tetra.
Cherry Red Barbs are a good choice for schooling, colorful fish that are hardy. But, don't jump out and buy anymore fish unless you have the space in your tank.
I have a piece of driftwood in my aquarium and my fish absolutely LOVE it. I just boiled mine before I put it in the tank to get rid of anything that I didn't want in my tank.
My vote is to go back and get it!
Go big! If you can afford it and have the space for it, then do it...I want a big tank, but avast...the bank account hampers me. Just remember that salt water tanks are most definitely an investment. The fish are more expensive and live rock and coral can get up there in price. Think about the...
I can only really suggest that if you have a seperate tank, then I would put him in there. I have a dwarf puffer who does the same thing and terrorizes my black skirt tetras, gouramis and bumblebee gobies. He harmlessly swims up almost to say hello and then *NIP*. Sometimes it's funny, but...
Here is a good website for that pleco:

Hope that gives you the info that you need.
I haven't really had problems with the salt. I never add it directly to my water ( I ALWAYS dissolve it first or I put it in a shot glass somewhere in the tank). Seems to be working pretty well. I have decided not to restock but rather to add everythign from my 10 gallon into the 20 and all of...
Thanks Paula. I have added salt to my tank. When I was doing the chemical treatment I also added in some salt, and I actually underdosed even though I said that I dosed correctly :o but anyways, I have continued the treatment with only salt and I did a 50% water change. Hopefully, I won't have...
well, I have lost all of the fish in my 20 gallon except 3 black skirt tetras, and a lone guppy, so I did a 50% water change today and gonna wait a week or two before adding new fish. Kinda sad, I really liked the stocking in the 20 gallon, but I get to start over now...oh well.
If it were against or close to a wall I would suggest getting a black background to make it more professional looking. It also would make your betta the center of attention.
lol...I have to attempt to get a good one of the mysterious fish. This is the one that hides the most (even more than my gobies) and can always tell when I am taking a picture.
Thanks, I'm just really frustrated...I'm gonna do a PWC today and go and get a new carbon filter cartridge. No idea what went wrong, but I know it wasn't the ick, cause the ick infested fish are the one's still alive...lol...
Danios would work nicely. I would suggest adding "Cycle" or bio-spira to the tank also. When I cycled my 20 gallon I did a fishless cycle with "Cycle" (got it at Petco) and within a week my nitrate levels were safe for me to add fish. It works the same way with adding fish along with the cycling...
