Thanks. It's 46 gallon. It's been set up like this for about 4 years. Besides the plants, there are 2 med Angels (wild type), 1 smallish Discus, 7 or so cardinals, several bloodfins, and a few catfish I see about every two months (upside down cat, and a clown pleco).
Thanks. That's what I thought, but it won't move. I already cracked that thin black plastic strip on the end. The salt creep must have really glued it on there. Maybe I can soak it with a wet paper towel?
So I have this light, and I can't get the clear plastic cover off. Most light fixtures, the plastic slides to one side. On this light, it appears to slide to the right, but it seems attached inside. Is there something I'm missing? I don't want to break it.
Not sure if it's some sort of phytoalgae, or a fungus, or what. It's eating holes in the Java fern leaf in the center of the pic, and it also attacks the Anubias. I think it's an algae. Anyway, is there a way to get rid of whatever this is?

There ya go.
I have the USA Sundial. 30 inch version though. Great!

4 t-5s. ONE power cord! Two timers, one for actinic, and the other for Daylight. Fan. LEDs...
I want to add a sump for a 29g tank, mainly just to get the unsightly pumps, tubes, HOB stuff out of sight. My stand will fit a 10g tank underneath, so I need an overflow box, return pump and tubing etc., at least. Suggestions? Simple and inexpensive are a plus! thanks for your input.
LFS has a really nice example which would look great opposite my large spaghetti leather. I've read that they are photosynthetic, but some sites say they are filter feeders only. Which is it? Also, if filter feeders, what food and how often? I feed cyclops now, once or twice daily.
Which carbon and phosphate media should I get from marine depot (placing large order), and can I mix a phosphate remover with the carbon? I've read it's not optimal, but I don't really have room or money for 2 reactors.
