Seems the water from compartment 1 will fall to refugium, then to the heaters without much interaction..
Perhaps have the water pass though the wall bottom between 1 & 2

Well, obviously I have been neglecting this thread. I will admit I have been busy with life in general.
I needed to change direction & convert this to a 120g in-wall to finish up in time for my daughters graduation party.. Below are a few photos of the progress & finished product.
I had to take some time off.. Twisted my ankle pretty well.. no break, but the ligaments & tendons have seen better days.. rehab till January, then perhaps surgery. Here is a couple shots, should be back on track soon, I hope..
