That looks like it may give you problems in the long run. Aquariums are constructed to be supported along the bottom edge. Which the design of which would make it the side and front panels bearing a large percentage of the load. This load MUST be transfer directly and evenly on the stand to...
Had angels lay eggs once. I did like you and transfered them to another tank with gravel. They did go into the gravel and could not get out. Your angels should lay more eggs soon. This time put them in a tank with no gravel and a good sponge filter. I fed mine newly hatched brine shrimp and they...
Look into some of the tetras. They are a schooling fish, stay in the upper most 3rd of the wc, don't get very big and can be very colorful addtion.

Also might want to consider a HOB skimmer if you are going to have any corals.
Take your time, nothing in this hobby happens fast except trouble.
Have fun and keep us posted.
I would go with a DIY top.
Plexi will warp in a very short time.
You can get dbl strength glass cut to size. Be sure to have them sand the edges as they can be sharp.
You can get the hinge, backspacers and pull handles here http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=13819

The 135 I used to have.
Bought all the plastic plants and real driftwood off ebAY.
It didn't cost an arm and leg either.
Try to make the presentation as natural as possible to become more convincing.

That trim top is not only a center brace, it is a means of holding and supporting those corners of the vertical seams.
When this is removed that support is lost and and pressure from a partially full tank can stress those corner seams on the silicone
and mabybe cause leaks later on...
I really don't care to have the maintenance or expense of an injection setup or other equipments with a live plant set up.
Yeah I am going to drill the tank. It will work better in the long run and worth more resale if drilled.
Can't spend anymore money on this atm and want to move forward...
I don't plan on a planted tank by any means.
Never had any luck with live plants and have always had a great natural look with well placed and chosen plastics with some
nice rock and driftwood.
I know some die hards would want to see anyone go the live plant route and tout how easy it is...
I figured it would work or be better than cans as well.
I am going ahead with drilling the tank (back side) and all related plumbing as well.
I will do a build thread when I get set up to start it all.
I want it to be a community tank with 6 Congo Tetras as my center fish.
Would also want a...
I should also add that this tank is not drilled yet.
I have the bit, skills and knowledge to pull this off.
I also have all the plumbing and locline fitting for the return manifold.
I can adjust flow like crazy from the Magdrive 18 as the return pump through this 6 point
setup.
A 40 gal. breeder...
I have a 120 gal tall I was gonna do a reef with but salt maintenance and time will be an issue.
I have all I need to make it a reef tank but want to use as much of what I have as possible
to do freshwater.
Is it feesable to run a freshwater system with a saltwater sump (no protein skimmer)...
It's most likely to be a Comet, the most common feeder/prize goldie.
It will get larger than you think 6-8 inches in your tank and up to 12 in a pond.
They are generally messy fish and are more so the larger they get. Can't have much in the way of
other fish or decor in the tank as well.
Large...
