Nick you are right :dance2: That's why I'm able to have 10 females in my 25g. They establish a hierachy, but now if even one female is removed from the tank you disrupt that balance and you'll caause aggression and spats until they establish a new hierachy. As for keeping 2 males...

What size tank is this first of all? Is there anything else fish wise that's in the tank or just those 2 bettas? Are these both female bettas or what? Just need to clarify all this before we can really extend any sort of valuable advice :dance2:

Usually when a fish starts losing weight and no external signs are visible, it is usually associated with internal parasites or the like. If he's still eating, I would treat with an internal anti-parasite medicated food and see how he does....now since he's in a community tank with other fish...
