I rather liked our hundred year old house when we had one. Lots of odd little nooks and crannies. Perfect for hiding new tanks that wander aimlessly into your home.
I'm replacing my old mid sized Eheim Ecco on my 36 gallon .. I've had it for over 10 years now and it's still going strong, but I originally bought it for a smaller tank. I feel like it's not quite doing the job on the 36. I"ll keep it as a spare.
I like the waterflow design of the Fluval 6/7...

Thanks for the reply ... I was just browsing unboxing videos for this filter and none mentioned installing the o-ring except one by Big Al's. That video didn't show the installation but at least mentioned that it was supposed to be installed on the motorhead so that's what I'll do. Seems really...
I picked up a Magniflow 160 on the cheap for a 20 gallon I'm setting up. This is the first Marineland canister I've ever had. The o-ring gasket came in baggie and not pre-attached to the canister and nowhere in the instructions for setting up does it even mention it. Is is supposed to wrap...
I have the mid sized Eheim Ecco canister filter. I've thought about using pressurized co2 but we live in a rural small town and I don't have a local source for getting co2 cannisters filled. I might consider splitting the return but the the flow from would be weaker ...
