Keep it running with fresh, high quality carbon and/or with efficient protein skimmer. with time , toxins should break down on its own along with increased temp. Not too high though in order to keep tank bio active. Would never throw out EXPENSIVE LR due to toxins from Cowfish. Hope all goes...

Only trigger fish that CAN be considered Reef safe are one that are very old and wearing dentures. lol! Really depends on tank mates/tank size/Aquascape, IME.. Many filefish, calmer than triggers, will probably mess with corals/poyps, if memory serves.
