Sorry hear the loss. Perhaps it is image and/or my visions, first thought that came to my mind was his scales, somewhat protruding especially toward the tail. Little research may render info that can be helpful in case similar occurrence takes place with other fishes. Hopefully not though...

Not Sure What to make of this

Although blur, reminded of fish TB occurences on CA/SA cichlids (carpintis, texas cichlids, Rainbow, Geos, JF, etc. etc.) due to INDUCED PROLONGED EXPOSURES to very acidic water, some way below 6.0.

Clamped Fins. Bent Spine. What is going on?

I wouldnt just dismissed it as Genetic as I learned from many trial runs that very similar symptoms described/depicted above has more to do with its emvironmental factors.

    Cowfish posioned tank

Keep it running with fresh, high quality carbon and/or with efficient protein skimmer. with time , toxins should break down on its own along with increased temp. Not too high though in order to keep tank bio active. Would never throw out EXPENSIVE LR due to toxins from Cowfish. Hope all goes...

    Help with ID

Niether of them look anything like Majano (much thicker/bubbly tips) I raised in their species tank. Perhaps smaller ones are Aipatasia Sp other than commonly seen or even Anemonia sulcata, etc, etc. Let Lg one grow as long as they dont spread like wild fire. Perhaps easier to ID when grown...

Looking for a custom tank (NY)

Probably 1000 Island is better bet as they may have been custom building more so than Pacific, if Pacific does at all.

    Benson's First Saltwater Tank

No worries mate as coralline algae will grow all over the glass soon or later. Lean star polyps, sand/button polyps, mushrooms, etc, etc against glass and they will grow onto glass as well if and when the conditions are right. Get the smallest Euphyllia possible for such small tank...

    Anchor Worms - Advice please?

It's your fish and your prerogative! Dont recollect ANY loss from Anchor worm infestation upon discovering/removing. Next time when you yanked one off, place in small container with proportionate amt of med to volume of water and see how Anchor Worm responds. One way to learn what it may...

    Celebes in freshwater

ALthough not an ideal ideal condition but close enough and shouldnt have issues if you can maintain such condition avoiding low pH and real soft water conditions. Prolonged exposure to unideal condition usually promotes illness.

    Anchor Worms - Advice please?

Afa one on the fish already shoud be/can be yanked off using tweezer/forceps if and when possible. From actual experiment ran long long time,I found yanked off Lernea survived the recommended dosage of few common parasitic meds. Depending on the Sp./conditon of fish/water, some may outstand...

    Anchor Worms - Advice please?

Best and easiest way to eradicate all free swimmers is if temp can be lowered safely and maintained below 55F (Can be difficult task for most at this time of the year) although free liivng first juvenile stage MUST find the host w/in few days to survive. Hope all goes well!

    Peaceful triggerfish?

Only trigger fish that CAN be considered Reef safe are one that are very old and wearing dentures. lol! Really depends on tank mates/tank size/Aquascape, IME.. Many filefish, calmer than triggers, will probably mess with corals/poyps, if memory serves.

GBR. Is it reallly worth it?

Back in the days, many, including I, thought/believed that sudden drop in temp, not cooler water, would trigger dormantized(?) Ich which turned out to be false as per parasitologists. Ich is an OBLIGATE parasite: Cant live long w/o host. It aint air borne so must have been introduced via...
