    brackish snowflake eal?

I've kept one before. Definitely one of my favorite fish to keep and he was a breeze to get eating (frozen silversides and krill). The downsides: I wouldn't keep him in less than a 55 gallon, and he'd eat the GSP in a heartbeat. Mine, which was 23in, ate a 4" archer--a pretty substantial...

    Toxotes jaculatrix, Archer Fish?

My archers have always eaten frozen food well, and they transitioned over to cichlid pellets no problem. :)

    Need help with tank stocking

My old G. tile ate a 4" archer. Honestly, I wouldn't do it.

caring for fresh water moray eel

It all depends on what species... If you're looking at G. tile, I had one of those guys once upon a time (before I got too chicken after nearly getting a finger bitten!). They prefer mid- to high-end brackish. As for food... Mine ate anything. Silversides, frozen shrimp, krill. As soon as...

Brackish tank build: F8s, gobies, and more

Once you move over to the 55 I would try Knight gobies instead of the BBG's altogether... I love my Fig-8 to death but I still wouldn't trust him with those tiny little things. With the small footprint of the hex, you could probably do only one Knight goby, more in a 55...

New Green Spotted Puffer Owner - Seeking advice/help

It's better not to net them in order to move them. They can puff up with air in the process and they can't un-puff. The safer bet is to scoop them into a container and move them that way.

    Glo-Fish = Danios

Wow, has this ever gotten off topic. It's been informative though. XD I don't know, I just have to agree with whoever said it before... I like my fish natural looking. I want my tank to look like a natural habitat (or as close as I can get with my budget!)--not a some geneticist's lab...

How many F-8's in a 75 gallon Tall??

Thirty gallons per F-8 is a better rule of thumb in my opinion. Although they're pretty well behaved as far as puffers go, they still need a decent chunk of territory; plus, they're messy lil guys that have a huge bio-load for their size. Mine mixes well with Knight Gobies, though, who are...

Best Way to Move an Aquarium?

Same here... All but two fish. Lost my betta and pearl gourami to ick a few days later. Side note: Be careful to test your SG very carefully as you refill the tank in the new place. I had to use a different amount of salt in the new place to get the same SG as before. *shrugs, blames...

Best Way to Move an Aquarium?

*nods* I just had to move both of my tanks. I kept as much water as possible, in five gallon buckets. The fish went in there as well. The poor fish had a twenty minute drive, but everyone from my brackish tank made the trip just fine. My FW tank was another story...
