My archers have always eaten frozen food well, and they transitioned over to cichlid pellets no problem. :)

Once you move over to the 55 I would try Knight gobies instead of the BBG's altogether... I love my Fig-8 to death but I still wouldn't trust him with those tiny little things. With the small footprint of the hex, you could probably do only one Knight goby, more in a 55...

It's better not to net them in order to move them. They can puff up with air in the process and they can't un-puff. The safer bet is to scoop them into a container and move them that way.

Wow, has this ever gotten off topic. It's been informative though. XD I don't know, I just have to agree with whoever said it before... I like my fish natural looking. I want my tank to look like a natural habitat (or as close as I can get with my budget!)--not a some geneticist's lab...

Same here... All but two fish. Lost my betta and pearl gourami to ick a few days later. Side note: Be careful to test your SG very carefully as you refill the tank in the new place. I had to use a different amount of salt in the new place to get the same SG as before. *shrugs, blames...

*nods* I just had to move both of my tanks. I kept as much water as possible, in five gallon buckets. The fish went in there as well. The poor fish had a twenty minute drive, but everyone from my brackish tank made the trip just fine. My FW tank was another story...
