Trimmed up my tank and this stuff is ready to MOVE!
I still have 8 hygro ceylon ranging from 5 to 12 inches each.
4 bacopa monnieri 6-10 in each.
2 willow hygro, one 11 inches, the other 16 inches.
1 hygro carymbosa, about 14 inches tall.
Make me offers! I want to ship this stuff out today!
I have always bought plants during the warmer seasons, so I don't have any experience with heat packs. 72 hr packs seem standard so I'm sure the ones you are looking at getting would be fine.
If you had heat packs I would be interested in many plants... but I can't risk no packs as I am located in weird-weather Wisconsin. Let me know if you can heat pack!
I have a python hose and I still don't like doing water changes. I think I'm going to go the natural planted tank route... I'm looking to rehome my 2 fancy goldfish. It will be a low-tech setup that will hopefully become very low maintenance over time.
I use an API liquid test kit. My tank is planted, though planted sparsely at the moment(I had lighting issues that compromised my plants). I didn't end up changing the water yet... I was thinking that the nitrates being at 0 was weird(though I couldn't remember exactly what it should be at)...
I have always put a lil salt in my tank. I am getting ready to do my weekly water change so I thought I should test the parameters. It read as follows:
Ammonia-0
Nitrate-0
Nitrite-0
pH-8.0
Are these readings anything to be concerned about? I recently added an HOB filter that was sitting...
Thanks for your input. I appreciate the links... learning and planning the tank is so much fun... like drawing out the excitement of getting a new tank! I am now, unfortunately, possibly considering keeping my 55. I'm hoping that's just the lack of sleep and overload on options talking... I...
I'm picking up a new standard 75 gal tank to replace my oldy-moldy 55 gal in a couple of days. I will stick with the general "theme" of my original tank, but hopefully I will do a couple of upgrades and possibly do things a little better this time around. I enjoy the look and challenge of...
55 gal, tank has been up and running 4-5 years. I've had the moor about 5 years. I haven't tested water lately, so I don't know exact parameters. I have been changing water frequently because of the sick fish.
I don't think it's lice because I don't see any lice on the fish. What type of treatments work best for a bacterial infection? His one eye is also quite a bit bigger than the other...
ET has been sick for a very long time. I have been doing pretty large water changes whenever I can and I have also done a cycle of pimafix. I use aquarium salt as well. His tank mate doesn't appear to have the white spots or fin shredding, but has a little redness in the tail. ET is...
I have gone through all hoses and anything that could get a junk clog. I have no idea why the water flow has been so greatly compromised. The filtration is simply awful at this point and I feel like I have tried everything to get it going again. The impeller has been gone through, everything...
Yes, the filter has definitely reduced in flow rate. I cleaned it out completely and its still not going the way it should. Does anyone have an idea on what the problem could be?
I did the DIY python hose... totally awesome! Thanks for the advice, Fyurae! I got it done for less than $20 AND...
The last time I pulled everything out of the filter and cleaned it well was about a month ago. I have had this tank for a few years and I'm not new at all this.... I just don't know what could be wrong with my filter, and I'm totally tired of water changes. Does anyone know what website has...
I realize that all of these problems are tied together but I feel like I'm treading water with this thing, quite literally. I'm doing water changes so often that this hobby is not really fun for me anymore, it's just work. And incredibly time-consuming.
So I have a 55gal with a Fluval...
