Can I just use typical aquarium gravel, with live rock, for a FOWLR set up instead of sand? Obviously I couldnt have any burrowing fish, etc. Other than that, is there any reason not to use it.

According to this list, the Red legged hermit crab is the best algae eater. How many of those will I need for a 10g. Will they harm other bottom dwellers? I am thinking about going with Nacariuss snails to site the sand and these guys.
