Ah! Agressive Dwarf Gouramis in new tank!

i agree with jamieB. you can put a plastic divider in your tank to separate them. 10gallons is too small for the all of them and yes, gouramis have the tendency to bully other fishes. they would need a bigger space so that they have a larger area to swim away into but this does not assure that...

    Sad Day in my Freshwater

your post made me sad too... :( dempseys are a hardy fish. there easy to take care of because they're hardy like that. they can be put in a community but needs to be in solitary as they grow older because they get territorial.

    Powerhead

i agree. and don't worry about your oscar as it is a hardy and resilient fish. it might even enjoy the force within the tank that is produced by your powerhead. :]

    new plant

aiks. aluminum plant is a soil plant and not for freshwater tanks. i'm not sure with the bella plant but i haven't heard of a bella plant for freshwater either. there are a LOT of freshwater plants available in local pet stores. make sure to ask the sales people of the specific plants for tanks.

    Cloudy water again...!!!

there are other factors to consider like there may be chemicals released from whatever biological medium there is inside your filtration system. the plants could also release certain chemicals which may not really be harmful to the fish. by the way, are there fishes in your tank coz i don't see...

What works well with a school of mossy barbs

Tiger Barbs can go well with Cichlids, Plecos, adn Bala Sharks. What you can do to achieve harmony is to have your Tiger Barbs in a big school, meaning there are quite a number of them. Since Barbs are fast swimmers, bottom-dwellers are good tankmates for them. :] Avoid having fishes with fancy...

Huge freshwater tank setup- ideas/styles please

do it simply if it's tall and narrow then i don't think you would need to put in so many decorations like plants and rocks. but since it's tall, you can maybe put some neat stuff like a good substrate of loose rocks and driftwood (make sure you weigh it down though). what kind of fishes do you...
