Need help picking out plants and animals for my Paludarium!!!

I'd disagree with dart frogs being sensitive. As long as temps stay under 80 degrees they're very hardy. I keep ~15 species (for the OP's sake, if you have any comments regarding the link please leave them in that thread and not here, don't want to derail) and they're among the easiest animals...

    tclipse's dart frogs

Dendroboard, dartfrogz, dartden, you name it. I've tried getting my name here switched to tclipse but no luck so far haha, I'm sure the mods have more pressing matters. Is your username the same over there?

    tclipse's dart frogs

Photo update: Found this little guy roaming the Solarte tank: There's a second froglet that's more orange, wasn't able to get a picture of him... pretty excited as I saw a little courting but not enough to think they were actually producing. Mama Dukes: Tarapoto imi female (male is...

    tclipse's dart frogs

-try your hand at fly culturing before you get your frogs... it'll avoid a culture crash at a bad time. They aren't difficult at all once you get it right, but some people manage to crash their cultures when first getting started. -clay backgrounds (Redart, not the kitty litter kind) are the...

    tclipse's dart frogs

Thanks! If it is the 12x12x18 size (not the 12x12x12), you could get away with a pair of thumbnails (R. imitator, R. variabilis, R. amazonica, R. vanzolinii, or similarly sized) pretty easily.. A couple of my imitator and amazonica pairs are breeding & doing very well in that size. Terrestrials...

    tclipse's dart frogs

The flies are cultured in 32oz deli cups, I make 3 cultures every 10 days or so which seems to be plenty for my collection.... way easier than going out to the store or culturing crix, only takes about 5 minutes to make them.

    tclipse's dart frogs

Thought I'd share my 'other hobby' with you all- NOTE - I keep ALL of my species separate, hybridizing and mixed enclosures are very frowned upon in the dart frog hobby for various reasons.... I won't get into them here, but if you search "mixing" on any dart frog forum, there are plenty of...

FS FS- Aquaclear 50's, Penguin 330, VA pickup or ship

AC50's sold locally, thanks for all of the interest. The Penguin is still available. They are all used, hence the need for "a good wash" (a little calcium buildup, nothing that can't be easily wiped/washed off).

FS FS- Aquaclear 50's, Penguin 330, VA pickup or ship

I have 3 AC 50's and a Penguin 330 for sale, they've been sitting around for a while and need a good wash but are in otherwise good shape. I'm not sure how many of the AC lids I have left but I do have at least one (I do have the penguin lid for sure as well). $10 each for the AC's, 20 for the...

    RCS problem?

Sorry to necro but I thought some might be interested to know, it ended up being some sort of algae... it all came off in the first shed and I never saw it again.

FS FS - 36" PC fixtures, PU/shipping, VA

Each fixture is 130W (2X65W), only selling because they make a sealed vivarium a little too hot for my poison dart frogs (since there is very little ventilation temps were getting too close to 80 degrees), and I'm switching to T8's. 3 bulbs are 6700K, one bulb 10,000K. See attached picture...
