Can you just get a ridgid piece to fit permanently into the end (that connects to the faucet) and then attach (with a different connector) a portable dishwasher connector (they are flexible and come made for larger faucet sizes) to that? That way you can move/use the python with any faucet. My husband made me one to fill my 5g buckets--I don't use a python. He also made me a little portable pump so I don't have to lift the 5g buckets when I do a wc on my 75g tank. The connectors are quick disconnects and I just put one end into the bucket and one end into the tank to get the prime started and empty the bucket. I don't have any pictures of the attachment for the sink. Just pictures of the little pump thingy my hubby made with the pieces of hoses.

ok, Breeze you suggested epoxy putty and thats what it has come down to. I joined a plastic adapter that has the correct fitting male head to the python adapter with a ring of putty molded around the threading of each piece. So all that is holding each peice together is the epoxy. I will take a pic later if it works. Say a prayer.

I will, LOL, tell me if it works! My arms are getting too buff doing all the bucket running!:hang:

Are you on a well? Or do you dechlorinate in-tank? As for me, it works well to use a bucket, and do smaller water changes more often. It also keeps chem more steady. For my 50, I just do a 2.5gal change every day, and everything goes great.....

Here is my cost effective, DIY, Python solution. I use the same hose to drain and fill.
I can reach every tank in my house.
It's much more proficient than the bucket and siphon hose.

well, here it is. Its ugly but it seems to be working. havent actually attached the hose to it yet but I think I may have a winner here...

the plastic adapter was just attached to the python adapter via a ring of the putty. Does anyone know how strong thsi putty will stay and how well it will do with water on it?
