Mt lacetail guppy has been laying on the bottom of the tank for about 2 days, still beathing and moving its fins but not moving around at all. It's tail is all bunched up and there is a yellow sploch at the beggining of his tail.(not sure if it was already there. Any ideas whats wrong? i tested my water and everything was fine and ammonia was .08, so anyone know? Any ideas on curing it or what?

Looking through Untergasser's "Fish Diseases" (useful charts)......

Is the guppy rocking? may be parasitic skin infection (Columnaris)

Hassle it a bit with a net - If it doesn't try to flee, may be blood flagellates

is it 'sinking' to the bottom because it can't swim properly? if so, may be a swim bladder problem

any other physical/colour changes?

Sorry

ammonia is .08?? or 0.8 or 8.0? (mg/l)

if 08, you must have a very sensitive kit!

About .08.... he has since died. My other guppies are fine, though, and the other critters in there. I am still fairly new at this so I am going to check out possible diseases and illnesses that they are prone too, also.
