Hello everyone. I have kept fish off & on for quite a while. My first tank was a 10 gallon and I experienced every problem encounterable... ie cloudy water, chlorine, etc. as well as diseases...ick & other rot. Needless to say I got frustrated & discouraged and gave the hobby up for several years. I now have a 60 gallon acrylic tank which has been running with a fluval 404 canister and an undergravel filter. Very clean. No problems for 3 years. Until...... I had to start replacing impellers. I threw-in the towel on the fluval and purchased an Eheim 2026 pro2 canister. I am slowly eliminating the undergravel filter (one tray at a time) until the tank is 'weaned' off of it completely and the Eheim is cycled.
Anyone have the eheim 2026? I was told my filtration will be adequate in my 60 gal. running only the eheim. Is this true?
My tank has one large fancy goldfish & 5 tiger corys. Peaceful.
Nice meeting you all.
