And I need suggestions on a filter I can use. I'm fairly new to aquariums, but in about a year and a half I have progressed from a 20 gallon tank that I won in a contest to now I have 3 50 gallon tanks, the 20 gallon and a 29 gallon. Now I have an opportunity to buy a used 200 gallon tank cheap. I need to know what type of filter I would need. I plan to have a couple of sharks and a couple of oscars and I don't what, if anything, else. Any suggestions on your favorite filters for this aquarium? I have only used power filters so far, but I guess they aren't enough for this big a tank. Any other advice on big tank care will be gratefully accepted.
Suggestions please.http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4

Canisters are an option, but I would go with a wet/dry.

is the 200 drilled for overflows?
you can do several cannister filters or dual overflows.

my suggestion is the wet/dry with a large sump.
