i have a yellow toad stood that isn't doing to well. A couple days ago it shriveled up and started to shed its skin. I've seen it do this before so i wasn't worried but the next day i discovered that my engineer gobys decided to bury it. So i scooped it out of the sand to put it up on a rock and found the stem is ripped almost in half Is this an injury that it can live through? Its almost done shedding and the polyps are starting to come out again any advise would be helpful hanks in advance

Assuming that it's not further disintegrating (evidence that it's dying), sarcos can recover from most tears and cuts. In fact, if it otherwise appears healthy, you can finish cutting through the tear to separate the cap from the stalk. The part remaining will eventually grow a new cap, and the existing cap will attach itself to rockwork wherever you place it within a few weeks.
