Hi guys.
We have a small water feature with pond in our garden. I'd say no more than about 40-60 liters water vilume. Which small fish can we keep in there without heating the water. Any suggestions?
Will cold Johannesburg winter nights be a problem?

40-60 liters is not a lot. I dont think you could have any fish in there. Goldfish (pretty much the only coldwater fish) need at least 200 liters and a pond depth of at least 18 inches -- in order to prevent freezing and predetation from other animals.

I would put 6 WCMM (white cloud mountain minnows) and a couple of invertabrates such as apple/mystery snails and some shrimp, ghost would be good.

mosquito fish, as long as you try to take them in during the winter.
