i'm setting up a 10 gal planted with a male betta. i wanted to put either cories or kuhli loaches in it, which would be better? how many should i get?
i just can't decide....
I would have to say kuhli's! I have 10 in my 10 gallon. They are shy, but when they do come out, they are blast. Cories are more laid back. You would have to have a large group of them so they can achieve their natural behavior.
i took my friend to my LFS today so he could get some neons, and while i was there i figured i'd pick up whatever seemed best at the time. i got 3 pygmy cories and 5 ghost shrimp for the 10 gal. is 3 too small of a group of pygmies?
panda cories are $5! that's too much for a shoaler for me....
i don't mind if they're not bottom dwellers, as long as they and the betta get along. thanks for all the info, i'll get another 3 next time i go to LFS, which will be in 8 days.
