Trying to start up again
I'm moving out to France in several weeks, i've sold all my fish, but decided to keep my tank i had made and all equipment.

i'm wondering if anybody knows if our passion (hobby) is big in France and if there are any good companies/stores to get fish from, because i'm really going to miss them if not.

The people that I have meet from Europe are as involved in the hobby as we are. They also like to buy from distributors all over Europe and Japan. I would look into the German, Czech, and Hong Kong distributors as I have heard that they have quality domestic and wild fish.

I live in France (outside Paris) and there are quite a few places to buy fish, though the place i go to is animalis which is a chain of stores scattered around France (www.animalis.fr). They are not fish specialists though the one i go to has about80 tanks of mostly freshwater fish. There are a few places in Paris near Chatelet (can't remember the name of the quai but it is on the Seine) that are small but if you are living in Paris it is about the only place to go that i know of.
