Where in my sump do I put the live rock?? Protein skimmer??

I want to convert this FW sump to a SW sump. Where in the the sump to I put live rock?? Also can a protein skimmer fit into this sump??

IF you can find a protein skimmer that's pretty slim, I think you can put it in. Just put it in anywhere. There's no really rule as to where you should place it in a sump as long as it's in there.

I would remove the bioballs and put live rocks there. Just make sure it's in the water though, and not in the air with water running through it like the bioballs.

You're putting LR in your sump? I thought about that too, just didn't think it was common practice. Are you talking about replacing the bioballs with LR rubble?

You might be able to fit a skimmer in there. Hard to tell actual dimensions from the picture. You might just have to reposition your return line pump to accommodate the skimmer.
