On our 29g tank we have an XP1. I was wondering how often people clean out the tubing on their canister filters? Also what would be the best way to go about doing that? We have a good amount of build up in the lines now.

Tie a piece of cloth to a string and fish it through the tubing with a wire coat hanger that has been opened and stretched out. Pull the cloth through the tubing with the string and repeat as needed. The cloth should fit tightly into the tubing and should be wet.
