So, I've been bored lately since I've moved into a new state... LOL. Anyway, my mind has been running about what I can do to the tank.

I've been using this thread as some research:
http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70100

Along with Melev's site: http://www.melevsreef.com/closedloop.html

These setups are all great; however, I really have been about something different.

On my tank (and probably yours) there is about 1" between the water line and the actual top of the tank (basically, the black plastic strip that goes around the exterior of the tank). My idea is to take a 3/4" tube or PVC and drill holes through out it. Then, take the tubing and line the side of the tank. I've been thinking that this would give many bursts of water instead of having one opening. The holes would be pointed slightly downward.

What does everyone think? Would it work? Do you know if someone else has done this and posted it?

Thank you all!

By the way, the only problem I see is support... especially if I use tubing rather than PVC...

Do you want to spread the flow from your main pump?Like a closed loop system, except with tubing. What are you trying to accomplish?
